Kameta’s (“we”, “us”) operates the website kametasfit.com, an online shop for Brazilian food based in Okinawa, Japan. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we handle it, in accordance with the Japanese Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI).
1. Information we collect
- Account information: name, e-mail address and password (encrypted) when you create an account.
- Order information: name, shipping/billing address, phone number, e-mail and the items you purchased.
- Contact messages: name, e-mail and message content when you use our contact form.
- Technical data: basic cookies needed for the shopping cart, login session and site performance (caching).
2. Payment information
Card payments are processed by Stripe, a certified payment provider. Your card number is sent directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection and is never stored on our servers. Stripe’s handling of your data is described in the Stripe Privacy Policy.
3. How we use your information
- To process and deliver your orders, and to contact you about them;
- To manage your account and provide customer support;
- To reply to messages sent through the contact form;
- To meet legal obligations (tax and accounting records).
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not send marketing e-mails without your consent.
4. Sharing with third parties
We share data only with services necessary to run the shop:
- Stripe — payment processing;
- Shipping carriers — name, address and phone number, to deliver your order;
- Our hosting provider — where the website and its database are stored.
Some pages embed third-party content (for example Google Maps on our home page), which may set its own cookies subject to that provider’s policy.
5. Data retention
Order records are kept for the period required by Japanese tax and commercial law. Account data is kept while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account at any time.
6. Your rights
