Meet Carla Kameta
Carla Kameta was born in Paraná, Brazil. Before making the leap to Japan, she had already researched opportunities abroad — she knew exactly what she wanted and was ready to pursue it.
Her arrival in Japan wasn't without challenges. On her very first night, she had to sleep in a park because guest houses wouldn't accept her dog. The next morning, undeterred, she went straight to a job interview at a golf club and restaurant — and was hired on the spot.
After years of experience in Japanese hospitality, Carla decided to channel her passion into something uniquely her own. She founded Kameta's Group to bring the authentic flavors of Brazilian street food to Japan — starting in Okinawa, where her journey continues to this day.
